Recently, we have collaborated with a prestigious client specializing in high-end mold design and manufacturing, developing a customized FEP tubing assembly for fluid transportation within their equipment. Leveraging thermal forming technology, we tailored an assembly featuring intricate bends along its length, including a 45° bend spanning 79mm and a 52° bend extending 91mm, specifically designed to interface seamlessly with the valves and connectors within the device.
FEP was chosen for this project due to its exceptional solvent resistance, biocompatibility, lubricity, and disinfection capabilities. Furthermore, FEP’s ease of molding and thermal forming into intricate profiles made it an ideal material for incorporating the required bends into the tubing with precision.
