| Usage | ePTFE filter tubes are primarily deployed in demanding industrial liquid filtration systems where reliability, chemical resistance, and high efficiency are critical. Their primary usage involves the removal of fine particulate matter, gels, and other contaminants from aggressive process streams to protect downstream equipment, ensure product purity, and enable fluid reuse. These filter tubes are engineered to operate in tubular backwash filtration systems. In this configuration, multiple ePTFE tubes are housed in a vessel. The process fluid flows from the outside of the tubes to the inside, trapping contaminants on the membrane surface. A key operational advantage is their backwashability; when fouling increases the pressure differential across the membrane, a reverse flow of clean filtrate or gas is pulsed through the tubes. This efficiently dislodges the filter cake,restoring permeability and allowing for extended service cycles with minimal manual intervention. This makes them ideal for continuous processes with high solid loads, as they can maintain consistent flow rates and filtration performance, significantly reducing downtime for cleaning or element replacement compared to traditional disposable filters. |
